New EU Regulations for Invoice Fees

A man is working on a car, the hood is up.
On November 20, the new Consumer Credit Act comes into force, affecting how invoicing is handled. The regulations mean that it will no longer be permitted to add an invoice fee to invoices issued to private individuals.

This involves a technical change that requires adjustments in your integrations. If an integration includes an invoice fee for private individuals, the API call will no longer be accepted. Restrictions will also apply to invoice line items so that invoice fees cannot be added there either.

What do you need to do?
We recommend reviewing how your workflows are affected when the invoice fee field is restricted, ensuring you have a solution in place no later than November 20.

What happens next?
We are currently finalizing the adjustments in Fortnox. As soon as the solution is fully in place, technical documentation with precise specifications will be provided.
